Clairey I must say I am very proud of Mike..mi fren always tellmi seh wah a fi yuh cyaan be fo nobody else :) ., Yes, take your time go in with a level head about the future. After Thanksgiving and ur trip is over maybe un can invite him up for the x-mas holidays and ring in the New Year together? I believe it is cause of hs adjustment why he was having second thoughts. Give it a go I say

Yes, Kimmy, the adjustment has really been hard on him. He wrote to me and explained to me how he felt. He is used to being the "man" and taking charge and he told me that he was afraid of me and how grounded I was and he was coming with nothing and had nothing to offer. He was used to being in chage and now he has to be dependent on others for even a haircut. He apologised for hurting and disappointing me and realized that I am a fair person who see my partner as my equal no matter what they bring into the relationship. He is telling me how much he loves and does not want to lose what we have and he will try to be the person that I fell in love with. This is the first time since I visited him in May that he has told me how he really feels about me. I am taking it easy and one day at a time and see how things work themselve out. I don't want to loose what we have and I really put a lot into this relationship with him. I just hope and pray that it work out for me.

Thats really nice Clairey, i'm a writer too i will write up a storm to express myself. I can imagine how much both of u have invested. My husband was the same way and i was trying to let him understand we are equal. This is where family should come in and help in the adjustment in my situation hubby's mother would have been a fabulous asset instead she made it very difficult in the beginning but now he has made tremendous efforts. like i said go for it !

I wrote this for my friend who was getting married, i had it put on a plaque with their picture and the date of their wedding..

A Special Day

The day has come

When two lives become one

With tears of joy and laughter

With thoughts of a new life together

Many dream of a love like this

A love that is like blood through each other's veins

A love that melts the hearts of strangers

And proves true and undying love can be obtained

Pressures and obstacles in each life

Has proven the strength of a love so strong

That has brought the two hearts closer

With each representing a special piece of

an unsolved puzzle

The puzzle has been solved

And the void has been filled

A candle has been lit, with eternal flames

And destiny has proven that

these two hearts are two inseparable

Thanks for the positive advice, Kimmy because I am leery to discuss this with anyone for fear that they will be negative towards the whole situation.

Anyway guys, Mike and I have been talking and he and I are trying to work things out. We talked about getting back together and taking it slowly. I told him that we should try to work things out and maybe start the new year off together.

Well, this morning he called me and told me he was ready to come back. I asked him if he was coming to visit or to stay and he said to stay. I asked him when he said in about a week or two. I told him that I was not ready because I have plans to be out of town for thanksgiving. I truely am not ready psychologically and put the thought of him coming here anytime soon in the back of my head. Right now I am just taking things one day at a time and see if things can be worked out. I am going to try and delay his returning because I am not ready.

What do you guys thinks about this???

Well Clairey, you already know my story so you probably know what I will say. Just dig deep down inside of yourself and you will feel what the right answer is. Perhaps he can come up for a short visit and then you guys figure it out from there. It is easy to think one way is the solution, but once you are together everything becomes more clear.

Sometimes these guys have to take the bumpy road before they can see things clearly..... (F) Sounds like the shock of everything was more than he could handle right off. Glad he is coming around...but hopefully not too late.

yes he is Clairey..he is..but no get it twisted a no all di time dis here happen :)

Kimmy - I would love to run my hands through that baby's hair!!! She is so cute - even with the big wad of drool coming out of her mouth.

Afternoon all! I did make my deadline with the paper - I probably submitted #######, but it was done, lol! Now I have to do four sections of my independent study paper by Tuesday, and I am back on track, lol

I have been up forever - went to the gym for two hours, and then to Borders to get the new JD Robb book - I found out that Sistah Souljah wrote another book - anyone read The Coldest Winter Ever that she wrote? That was an amazing book! I came home, showered, and am in my fleece with my blanket on the couch - it's rainy and grey, and I am going to be lazy for a bit!

Jawi, how are you feeling, how's your neck? Jah Cure live is incredible - I saw him at Rebel Salute last year - He came out on the stage right after the sunrise wearing all white - so incredible!

JD Robb is a pseudonym, right? Or else the other name used is, right? I forget now. But, I've read some. I want to get the last book in the Stephen King Black Tower series. Maybe tomorrow. I have a coupon for Borders. Sadly, I read so many books in series that I seem to always need to go get one.

New Jah Cure comes out next week. I'm buying it for Andre for Christmas.

I love JD Robb too - Did you know that she is Nora Roberts? She writes under both names- some of the Nora Roberts books are great as well. If you didn't guess, I read ALOT, lol

Oops...should read on to see that you answered my question.

Who are your favorites, Sus?

Mine....

Stephen King

Laurell K. Hamilton (vampire series, not the Fairy series)

Sue Grafton

Patricia Cornwell

Douglas Preston & Lincoln Childs

Michael Creighton

Christopher Moore

Cormac McCarthy

J.K. Rowling

Anne Rice

Michael Connelly

Ken Follett

Agatha Christie

And anything that has to do with the Holocaust and the Titanic.

I try and read 3 chapters a night in the bath tub. If I don't have a book, I have resorted to reading the back of shampoo bottles. It's sad, really!

Hey Kimmy. My friend is doing ok. Now she is planning her mom's funeral. It is just her and her brother and he is completely useless.

I have been logged on all day but was cleaning and just got back from washing my hair.

Just wanted to say thank you to all who have expressed their sympathy to my friend and I for our loss.

JG--my fried told me that when she visited her mom Thursday night she was smiling as usual. (She always had a smile on her face). She stayed with her until 1am and she told me she died in her sleep with a smile on her face.

Today was a beautiful day here in Raleigh but I spent it cleaning (Lawny I am still waiting for your help..me lef da frige fe yuh)LOL

It's quiet in here...well i did absolutely nothing today the weather was terrible i stayed home with the girls and hubby did the running around. He even picked up a circular :)

What a good guy he is. Is he going to do the grocery shopping after you chose what you want from the circular?

What a beautiful last memory for her. I hope she finds some comfort in that memory.

What do you guys thinks about this???

I think you were extremely hurt, worked hard to get over it and move on, and now, it's throwing you for a loop. I think you want to give him another chance; but you are scared. I think you are extremely smart for thinking all of that. And, I think, deep down you know what you want to do and how you want to do it. Go with that, Claire. Whatever you do, do on your schedule. Rushing you is not what you need right now. Take it slow and follow your mind as well as your heart.
