Awwww....sorry, KK. Let me know what you get when you go. I'm an addict! If you saw how much I am stocking up in anticipation of quitting, you would just crack up. Andre asked me if I EVER plan on going to Lush again.

Hey, Tre....when you come on...

Today, I got my bathroom sparkling too. It's so nice when the kitchen and bathroom are so freakin' clean.

I gave my dog and the dog next door a flea bath.

I washed my car and my daughter did all the windows.

I managed to ride my bike 10 miles today.

I cooked my first try at fixing bammy.

Sitting here now with candles lit throughout the house and crying through Titanic.

Oh, and did I mention I had to work a bit this morning at Lush? Busy, fulfilling day today.

It is a black white question for whoever asked. mi know for a fact many of the posters won't answer this honestly and some will get offend...and why? it's like i feel a change when one of the girls who is White reveal themselves or some get jumped on by saying a simple statement. i just hate it when some White women act more superior than their Black men of any race as if they are God's gift to the world. But, I have come to the conclusion that it's often not the womens fault but the fault of the man who make it seem as though they have discovered gold when they meet/marry/courting a White woman. A woman is a woman no matter the color of her skin. And don't get it twisted this is the same for out White Jamaican women.

Interesting. I haven't seen it. But, then again, I wasn't looking for it. I'm not very observant some days.

I did and I will continue to. It's something I have personally faced for the last 4 years or so. Mostly, from a few select women and men on another web site I am on. I have concluded they are just damn fools, so I've learned not to let it bother me as it did years ago. And, like I said, all their hateful gloom and doom comments have not come to pass, so time is my friend. Anyone who judges my relationship on the color of our skin isn't worth the time to type a response.

I don't quite understand the gold comment, Kimmy. But, again, I guess I just haven't seen anyone I considered acting like that.

Regardless of if we are black, white, red, green, or yellow, we are all in the same crapshoot. There is no guarentees in any relationship, and in our cases, a LDR to living together, will face the test of time. It matters little about more then the individual circumstances of each of our relationships and how well we are able to weather any storms and grow old together.

I am by no means in this category...just curious though, is this a black-white question?

And I wonder how would it matter?? Isn't that what we are all here for? Just curious.......not stirring the pot!

who cares if you stir the pot everyone else does. We are here cause of a thread named Yardies, so some thing it's only Jamaicans in here...the root is some ppl change or treat others differently cause we are all not black in here.

When I found out Yaads was White i laughed so hard..only b/c she was up to di time wid har patois

Same for Lita when i found out she was not Jamaican born same reaction just cause she up pon di lingo

some don't care to embrace the culture of Jamaica, the land from which they have found men who completes their circle.

I'm sorry Kimmy...you feel a change from who? Some of the black women who post on here? And if so, how so? I am honestly confused, and maybe it's just because I don't pay attention to a lot of stuff when petty comments are being made to one another. Are there women up here that you honestly feel like are acting more "superior" than their men? I know with the whole, Jamaican man thinking he's discovered gold thing, that could just as well be from that "lighter is better mentality." I know from reading, that skin color is still a really big issue in Jamaica (just think of all the women and men who go and bleach  ) In many cultures (and even in our own American culture) white women are still considered the "prize" because of what slaves and blacks were taught about what "they could offer". They were placed on a pedastal far higher than anyone else could reach. Now let me be the first to say that I certainly don't think any white woman (or woman from any race) has more or less to offer than me, but this has been so in-grained in our mentality that for some people, it's hard to think otherwise.

A while back someone mentioned books to read about being married and before you get married. I got the one "The Power of a Praying Wife". I think Marlita might have mentioned that one. Talk about a eye opener! I never thought of the things that come up in a marriage from the other perspective I guess! It is definately a MUST read for anyone who is "spiritual". It talks a lot about praying for your husband and the troubles a marriage can encounter and how to fix them even before they happen!

Glad you liked the book. JATam on here mentioned it too me. My husband liked his version too.

check my next statement and see if it's clearer. I have witnessed a superiority complex from white women who married a black man and black women who married a white man.
