Hey Ladies;

If you plan on being in the D.C. area for the inaguration celebrations in Janauary start booking hotels and airfare NOW! I wish I was still in my house, I would have been able to put up most of you. Well the partying started from Tuesday night and it will continue until he's in office. All the clubs are doing something starting tonight and until Sunday.

Morning JG --

It was snapper. I don't know what got him to break out. He's use to getting everything fresh. He's never had frozen fish...if he want fish to cook he just go catch it clean it and cook it.

We can't get good snapper here. It's so very rare, it's like Christmas when we do. We tend to stick to saltfish, catfish (the only thing we can get fresh here), frozen Tilapia, shrimp, canned & frozen salmon, canned macrel.

I seriously wonder if it is the water they are pulling that fish out of that is bothering him.

I don't know. He had a problem eating chicken also when he got here it made him sick. Same with the vegetables and fruits. He still refuses to eat canned vegetables. First time he ate bannans he threw it up.

When are you going to come down and visit me?

WTH? Are you cooking them different then he is used to?

I suppose you could fool him. Go to the store and only buy Grace products or something. Maybe it's all in his mind.

I'm not cooking it differently. He's just use to eating fresh food I guess....that what the doctor said could be a possibility. When my brother and I frist came to the states, we couldn't eat the food it was making us very sick. So sick that we were hospitalized. Marcel only eat chicken or fish. He said when you freeze fish or chicken it taste different. We'll figure something out. God knows he don't need to lose anymore weight.

He would have tea and bread in the morning, eat fruits for lunch then have his dinner (that was in routine) in Jamaica. Now, he just drinks tea for breakfast and has dinner.

Thanks Mortant;

We tried Whole Foods and some of the other organic stores, but there vegetables and fruit made him sick. I guess he don't consider it fresh unless he catches it himself. So, it's all veggies for him this week.

Honey...when I went down to JA I brought Lance some sweaters that he requested. Although it doesnt seem very cold to us it is to them. Lance lives up in the hills of Manchester so its gets "cold"....One night we were out on the road and so many ladies had on those velour sweatsuits and guys had on hoodies. I looked so odd in my halter top :lol:

Hey! of the time I have spent there it IS cold!!! When I was there in February I was sportin a hooded sweatshirt the whole trip (during night)!! We are in the Clarendon/Manchester area and I am a girl born and raised in the snowy mountains!

I always thought that M. was just spoutin foolishness, but after a couple of weeks there and it started getting cold, I agreed!!!

Ray asked the same thing. He can I can burn it and I was like on no you can't. The big branches are still in the back yard. lol I have to get a saw because I'm not going out and asking where to buy a machete. Not me!

Home Depot, Lowes, any place like that - will be with the gardening tools. :thumbs:

really???

you can buy a machete at Lowe's?

thats great!

I LOVE MY HUSBAND!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning all!

Lawny - Did you see my post about Snapper? That is one fish I cannot eat here, it makes me so ill - In JA, I am fine and I love it.

Shrewdie, I agree with you - after going to Rebel Salute, I will never again mock the "it's cold here" - We froze our azzes off!

I'm doing a 'telecourse' (kinda independent since you only have to come to campus for midterm & final) on African History. This paper is supposed to be on one of the essays in a book called 'Women in Africa' and I'm just finding it really hard to get rolling on it. I better do as well as I did on the last paper because if I'm much later, I might get dinged and only get a 'B'. I'm trying for a 4.0 (on a very slow schedule....don't take more than 1-2 classes per semester working full time) to help me should I move along to a 4-year institution. Anyway, does anyone have a formula for motivation? (I'm sure motivated when it comes to getting my honey here!)

That sounds like an interesting class - I am doing my MS in HR Management - all my classes online as well - Can't help you with the motivation, but keep plugging along - I did my AS, BS, and now my MS by working FT and taking 2-3 classes a semester - it's doable. I should be done with my MS next winter -

Morning Sus;

I saw it. I told him there's a big difference with the food here and in Jamaica. Marcel is tall and thin and I told him he needs to eat something.

On the perfume / cologne subject - I found a website - http://www.midtownperfume.com - They sell perfume and cologne, and have some of what they call "testers" = What they are is a bottle of the perfume (real stuff) but it's not in the fancy packaging, just a plain box - It's what they send to the dept. stores to put out on the counter. I bought my friend Dolce and Gabana Light Blue from them for $35.00 -

Tre, are you sure Marcel doesn't have a tape worm or something?

I love Sephora, but I can't shop in that store, only online - the mix of scents kills me.

It is seriously like a candy store. I could spend all day in there just reading bottles.
