Hi Everyone,

I am wondering if anyone can help or advise me, hopefully I am posting in the right place

I am a British Citizen, Married to a USA Citizen. To cut a long story short, we have been married 10 years and lived legally in the States. We came to the UK in April this year, he was on a 6 month visa waiver and has now returned to the States to apply for residency here. Has anyone any idea how long this takes? Paperwork and Biometrics were submitted to New York, they got them Tuesday. Is there a way to track what is happening?

All help appreciated. Thanks.

I havebeen told it could be done in a day.

Much diffeent to the US process.

Did you get your US Citizenship, or do you have no intent on going back?

I was born in the UK and moved to the States when I got married. I lived there as a permanent resident until April this year, I have no intention of going back.

Since NY got my husbands application on Tuesday we have heard nothing :( We were told it took about a week but I would have thought an e-mail of acknowledgement would have arrived.

If you go in person it is usually done the same day, by post will be a little bit longer.
