Funny-looking card arrives – September 6th, 2008 :)

Mailed request to remove conditions – July 7, 2010

Landed permanent resident approved – August 23rd, 2010

Second funny looking card arrives – August 31st, 2010

2009-09-15 Biometrics appointment

2009-09-15 EAD Card production ordered!

2009-09-23 EAD Card received

2009-10-06 GC approved/card production ordered

Hubster has to try to get home from work going right past Grant Park....eek! We get off work early though... :dance:

I cannot even imagine what that will look like.

The night of the fireworks (July Third, no not the Fourth...Chicago, don't ask), my sweetie and I were at the dock (end of Randolph street - great party BTW), and leaving that area was ridiculous. The L, the bus stops, the streets!!! People galore. We walked home...all the way to Diversey. Ha! Not that bad/far, I know.

You could not get on public transit, and driving: out of the question.

I bet they will close the downtown core streets.

I had a friend who got tix...but she said she might have to work that night now.

I would definitely like to go as if he won it would be a huge historical event, but I imagine trying to get home after that event would be a b*tch.

I think we're playing it by ear...we were invited to a BBC election broadcast thingy that night, with Richard Bacon doing coverage for Radio 5. If that event gets dull we might head towards Grant Park.
