Dear VJ members .....

I,ve had applied I130 in 01 April 2008 , By an attorney from NY and i got notice of action in 23 july 2008 telling I-797c that they received my application which was field in 01 April 2008 in Vermont service center .

The attorney told me after one month of the reciept day they will send me the last decision of my case ,till now i received nothing !! last sep the attorney kept telling me if not this week the next week for sure and for now its about 4 months since i received the notice of action and nothing appeared yet ...

My wife in touch with the uscis every week they kept telling her they are doing petitions which been field in April and May and soon they will send something !!and nothing yet .

Please i want to ask is that normal ? do i need to wait more as the proccessing still in timeline ?

what the best shall i do to get information ? the attorney is telling the truth ?

im in hell time waiting and calling please help please .

Yes its pretty normal, and since you are from Vermont service center, so you might have to wait even more, a few February 2008 filers and a lot of March 2008 filers are still waiting.

Sorry, but this is how the situation is.

From your account it sounds like you have only filed i-130, is that true or did you and your spouse also filed i-129f? If you didn't file the second one, then you aren't a K-3 filer, but you are a CR-1 filer.

Do read the guides and prepare yourself for NVC stage, use this time to learn this process, so you won't be fully dependent on the lawyer and can let your case go through fast forward lane like many others.

fill in your time line and when you do that you'll know the approximate date your petition is going to be approved! it's pretty accurate...
