hello,

somebody can help me, do i need to pay to metrobank the dv? Is it still required by the embassy to pay?

The US Embassy is inconsistent regrading this. It's still prudent to pay for DV. Also there are other "undocumented" requirements being made by the USEM. Read the other posts especially those in the Phils. sub-forum.

i did not pay DV, I relied to much on what I read here 3-4 months ago. But im not blaming anyone. It was procrastination due to fact that I am not really sure if it was really needed. I passed medical today, Friday. My last chance to pay is on Monday coz my interview is on the following day. Please help. What do I do next?

Just go to the interview. If the consul requires a DV, you'll be asked to pay after your interview there. Paying the DV on Monday won't make a difference. Good luck.

Done with my iterview today. No one asks for a DV. the only thing they asked from me were pictures. Ako na nagtanong sa prescreener kung kelangan nya marriage index. And he said yes if I have it. Goodluck to everyone!!

Glad that you were able able to go through your interview without DV. :)

Just thought I would put in my 2 pesos as well:

Izel went to Metrobank yesterday in Manila to pay her DV fee and they would not accept it. She then call Delbros and they also told her that they are no longer doing the DV.

In the last month, I have talked with 3 different girls at the US Embassy and they all said that the DV was still required and should be paid.

You figure it out!

I was planning to go to Metrobank tomorrow to pay the DV. So, going there to try to pay would be a wasted effort?

You do not understand so I will try to say it a different way.

Metrobank in Manila would not let Izel pay for the document verification fee. They said it was no longer required. They would not accept her money. She tried to pay and was turned down.

I hope this makes it clearer now.

According to DELBROS, this all started (or ended as the case may be) October 1st.

Like what I mentioned earlier the USEM is inconsistent regarding the matter. If Delbros refuses to accept payment, just hope that the consul doesn't ask for it during the interview. Just bring the necessary NSO documents. And be mentally prepared for delays in the visa if in case you're indeed asked to pay for DV. Also got info that USEM COs visited NSO last Friday. It's most likely that DV is just "waived" for the time being. In any case good luck to all of you.

i told my husband to finally go ahead and pay the DV.. it's only P650.. if they don't ask for it then fine.. if they did, at least we have it.. i also had him get that CENMAR stuff.. so we are fully prepared for whatever the heck they ask for

in the packet 3/4 that we can download from the manila embassy website, DV was deleted from the list of requirements, however, DV is still on the embassy website, updated OCT 2008.

my husband paid in Iloilo and they took his money just fine... DELBROS even texted that they received the payment, blah blah blah..

for all the waiting we have done and all the money that has been spent already, what is P650 anyway? better be safe than sorry...
