Visiting while already applied for k1

I really don't write too often on this web but it has been so inspirational and helpful for me, so thank you. The question i do have is that my fiance who lives in Japan will be visiting me in June. We've already applied for the k1 visa in July though. Will this be a problem if she lives in a visa waiver program country and she just tells the PO that she's here to see friends from her previous J1 visa which isn't telling them a lie or anything. I just don't want to see her travel all of this way just to get turned right back around at the poe. Any info or advice would be much much appreciated. Thank you so much.

She would need to prove sufficient ties to Japan (i.e. mortgage papers, lease agreement, letter from employer saying she is expected back); and then hope the customs person is having a good day. A lot of people come to visit, and a lot get turned back. Good luck.

Thank you for replying so quickly. I just need a little more advice please. My fiance just quit her job for medical issues and she lives at home so she doen't have a morgage or lease agreement either. She really cant visit me once we've already applied for k1 but her country is part of the visa waiver program and if she tells the PO that she's here to see friends from her previous visa and she has her return ticket do you see this as a problem? I guess my question for you is if you were in my shoes would you have your fiance do this or would you just wait for the k1 visa to be granted? I look forward from hearing your response.

You say you filed in July. More than likely she'll already have her visa by the time June comes around.

I don't know why i put june on there, i meant she would like to visit in January. What would anyone else do if they are in my situation?
