Heeeeeeeeey I was born and raised in Texas. Texas is an anomaly really. They have the most pride in their state ever for no real good reason. I mean unless of course you like football and that's all you want out of life. But if you're like me and you've lived outside of Texas longer than you lived in Texas then you realize it's a bit silly how this overinflated attitude dominates the perception there. A lot of people living in Texas aren't from Texas though. Does the pole show the percentage that is actually from Texas, as in born and raised? I suspect it is made up of natives like me and transplants like many others that go to the University there.

Clearly he's a Christian...but don't hold that against him.

As another VJer asked, "So what if he was Muslim"?

Now hear this

"Religion has nothing to do with the office of the Presidency of the USA"

If it did, it would be in the requirements.

PLUS, what would be wrong with having a Muslim President?

There are too many small minded racists in America that think all Muslims are terrorists.

Christians easily and conveniently forget about the terrorism and torture BY Christians.

One example I can think of was this thing called "The Inquisition".

Religion ,or lack of, does not define a person, unless they let it.

American Samoa, or CNMI, who need the labor protections the most. I'm sure Texans will understand since they love Wal-Mart and cheap goods. They can do the labor, too! It all works itself out.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Who really cares what his religion choice may be? So what if he is a Muslim, although he claims Christianity. Does that make him unqualified or unacceptable? Only if you are an ignorant dumb azz!

This is my (center) Republican perspective.

Don't you know that Muslim is a dirty, dirty, potty-mouth word? Didn't the terrorist attacks of 9/11 teach you anything?
