I was just strolling through the online PennySavers when I happened upon this ad...

DATA ENTRY/TYPING

Legitimate work @ home opportunity. Earn $300-$500 per week from home doing data entry. Easy to start!

as anyone heard of something like this?? It sounds like a pretty easy job and I wanted to earn a couple of extra bucks to help out around here.... I thought a job like that might be perfect....

I do know that I prolly won't be making 300 to 500 bucks but I just wanted to earn something...

Doesn't hurt to check anything out...but I myself would be pretty wary. Like Reba said, if there's start up costs or anything like that..I def. wouldn't do it..it shouldn't COST you to work, unless you starting your own bus..or somethin' like that! :)

That said..look into it and see. I did data entry(at a regular place of employment) for a short time years back, and the place did employ some from-home workers...so, you never know. :) M.

PS>.on a sidenote!!!! My brother just came to the door to leave his vehicle here for the night...he had been drinking, but wasn't drunk. His girlfriend, he claims...won a couple hundred thousand dollars today!!! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. dunno on that...but if she did..they better SHARE! heheheheh j/k...wonder what's up with THAT tho!!!! M. :)

Legitimate employers will not ask for money upfront for supplies or to "register"...sounds like a scam to me.

I responded to an ad like that once and they wanted me to sell knives door-to-door or some such nonsense. Can you imagne showing up to someone's door with a knife in your hand????

I did that job for a summer while i was in school.. it wasn't really that bad.. you call ahead for appointments etc.. can be really hard to sell them though.. but you get to set your own hours and after a while the commission can be pretty good.. and it is actually a quality product you are selling so its not all bad... (I still have them 5 years later and wont use anything else!)

Here in Brazil we have a lot of scams advertised in news paper like'' earn 2000 - 5000 working at home blah blah blah'' but i don't know in the states if this works as a legitimate job. I know here it doesn't. Be careful.

well, I took the plunge and oreder the training materials ($7.00) and I go them a little while ago.. after reading through I realize that this is kind of a scam I guess....

All I would do is post an ad similar to the one I saw all over the place where they allow free ads and then people will respond to me and send me moneyfor the training packs.... it isn't really a data entry job :P....

I did a quick search of other data entry jobs and they want 50 to 100 bucks (one time fee) :o ... so I think this career move is out the window :P
