Thank you all so much.

I know some days are better than others and I dont know why they gave his K3 so easy and making us wait so much for CR1?? I still don't know what our lawyer is good for?

As the day has gone by I have had no choice but throw myself into my work. I haven't heard from Tarik at all and I am just wondering if he is still there.

I used to send stuff all the time then we were so close to the VISA and got it and well, it has been a while but ladies and gents I have done so much just because I love him. At least if we know HE WILL GET IT...then it will all be ok.

It is just the not knowing and I know you all have endured it or are still enduring it...just knowing I am not alone, helps.

My husband is a bit of a loner, which is part of the issue and well, he couldnt understand me coming here and venting with people I dont even know. BUT FRIENDS, I feel I know you and I appreciate you making your fingers work a little just to bring me some comfort...I think I will be ok...but I just am praying that when I am on the way home I get my usual phone call from him and I just tell him I love him and we are gonna make it  right?

The hardest part of this is the not knowing. It's like the proverbial carrot dangling in front of us.

My husband would go through this desperate frustration about every 3-6 months. He'd be done and want to quit and start looking at other countries. At first it freaked me out, but eventually I saw the pattern and went along with it. We would make our plans, check out the jobs, look for homes where ever, even write the embassies. While it was fruitless, it occupied our time. When he was able to calm down again, usually within a week, he'd realize that wasn't what we should do and we'd go back to our routine. Funny part is HE would tell ME we need to be more patient.

My husband doesn't understand venting either. He doesn't want anyone in our business. But we girls need each other and that's just something they'll never get. You aren't alone and who better to come to with your frustrations and venting than other women who understand exactly what you are going through. You ARE gonna make it!

It seems so cruel how they make us wait so long to be with our spouses and no one really cares. Its like they just think you shouldn't have married a foreigner and especially not someone from the middle east as then you wouldn't have this problem. Of course they have never been in this situation so they don't understand. It helps so much to have everyone here supporting each other and being understanding.

For you, I pray that you get good news soon and this wait is over. Somehow God will give you and your husband the strength to endure whatever is left of the wait. Remember myself and everyone else are here for you.

Ooohhhhh I hate this part! I don't understand how someone from say Phillipeans (just an example no flaming pleases) can go through the process in record time but our men our made to wait years...

I understand the whole background check but come one!! If our men were bad do you think they would go to all this trouble??? They can come over on a nother visa, or get residancy somewhere else can come over as a student and not require a background check.

from my understanding it's only the CR1 that goes through this process and while the k3 still requires it done they can be here in the country and have AP.... so my question is what's the point??? Sorry this is a touch of a hot button with me. forgive me if i offended anyone

I think there is little sympathy for those of us who married MENA guys at immigration. Just a theory, maybe a few care, but not many. The thing is that we have a right to be with our spouses too just like everyone else. We have a right to at timely process. Most of the MENA marriages are not getting anything resembling a timely process. It really is frustrating.

Dear Sandrila:

My husband also does not understand what "venting" is...I guess in his culture, people keep things bottled up. At least the men do...I think my husband does not have a clue about women. Women share their feelings with each other.

Thank you Nutty for you comment.

I would say my sweetie has alot to learn about women

If anyone is able/old enough  to remember the days before the big "psychotherapy movement" when we were all about getting in touch with our feelings and crying was encouraged etc.......LOL....well clearly that was an all american tradition and completely bi-passed MENA! They seem to be the old time men that try to be strong and keep emotions and thoughts to them selves. Don't want to worry their wife try to stay controlled. My husband was telling me to be strong like him while he was clearly emotional after his terrible interview. I felt so bad but he was determined to not show me, even tho it was clear.
