Well it's God awful crazy here today because Obama is making an appearance. Damit all I need is to go across the street and get gas and that's impossible right now! Dude isn't even supposed to talk till 9:30 pm! Uh.........! On an up note......why do all the secret service men (is that who they are?) have to be so cute! LOL! Have a good one everybody!

Columbia, MO. He's speaking at the University tonight. Yep, I just went to look out the front window of the clinc to check out the traffic sitation. He must be driving right though here at some point because everything is now blocked. So, I'm thinking I'll walk to Wal-Mart that is right behind us, buy myself a gas can and walk my butt across the street to the gas station so I can get home later! Maybe one of these security dudes can detain me!

I slept about 1 hour last night, and this will be the longest work day ever

It was worth it....WE GOT APPROVED!!!

They told my husband 3 weeks to a month before he will get the visa, so the final wait begins

LOL this is my favorite part of Washington DC - the SS guys!!! They try to be so descreet but I swear you must have to be attractive to get the job!

My husband used to be like the SS of Morocco - he was in Diplomatic Security, so, always working as a bodyguard for the visiting diplomats & princes & kings. He looks hawt in a suit as well as in fatigues. :wub:

In other news, I tried Sara's King Ranch Chicken she posted a couple of weeks ago last night, but changed it up a bit. I used shrimp instead of chicken and added some parsley to it (would have added cilantro, but was out) and it was *SO* yummy. Definitely got an approval from both myself & the hubby. Next time, I'll try it w/ the chicken, was just more in a shrimp mood last night.

Bad mood today. I think I caught strep from the woman who was next to me in the hospital. Feels like I have a dry sock in my throat. Seeing the doctor tomorrow. Going back to work tomorrow too, though at home.

Who ever the fluck created this @#$$%% Wii kareoke game that my kids are addicted to is gonna get some real bad azz karma action comin' back at them. I'm sooooo sick of it!!! It's all pop40 music and I'm sooo not into that. I need a smiley where I go back under the covers.

In other news I'm totally addicted to Jon and Kate Plus 8 and I need to crack the habit. I mean I'm obsessed with the gossip surrounding the show/family and I need to really get a hobby! lol

Most of the hubbub (sp?) is about the fact that the kids are basically employees and have to work and what laws are in place to protect them. There was one article I read about some multiples that were put on display years ago and when they were older they pleaded that no one else be put through what they were put through. I don't see these children as totally exploited though but it does make you think, they really don't have a choice in having this crew around them all the time you know? They won't get a chance to have a normal life without cameras and that's the unfair part. That and the fact that the family is basically profiting off of them. I think the latest figure is that they make $65,000 per episode and that they're now building a HUGE home for themselves and that the whole episode where they look for homes is a sham to prove to everyone that no house is good enough for their situation.

I really have to stop reading this #######. I didn't even know that the US invaded Syria a few days ago. My husband is on a computer in the dining room and everyone is yelling in arabic and he just told me what's going on. I had to hunt to find the news on the internet about it. I think Jon and Kate can take a backseat for a while until I'm up to date on how exactly my country was able to invade Syria without an act of congress or anyone having a heads up. #######. I wanna move to another country.
