I am trying to fill out the paper work for my husband, I have the I-130 done and working on the I-485. He came to the USA as a vistor and married, started his paperwork to legalize his status. He submitted the I-130, I-485, I-765, and shortly after that need to go back to Ecuador because his mom pass away so applied for I-512 authorization for parole. Soon after getting an interview date (Adjustment of Status) with immigration he and his wife separated. His visa expired and never followed up the immigration process. His wife moved out and they became separated, years went by and never saw her or came in contact with her. He applied for a divorce and it was granted. We married and have a baby girl. Now that we want to legalize his status I am having problems filling out his paparwork. When his first arrived he got an A# but when I look carefullly at his I-512 it has a different A # what number should I use for his I-485 application? and what should his USCIS staust be? Help Please...

At the present time, he has no A#. He is out of status until the application is submitted for the AOS and then an A# will be assigned. What about the EAD?

Quote both, sometimes it hppens that people get allocated two by mistake.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
