So Fox is biased. BFHD.

Where is the outrage about the LA Times? They have a tape, everyone and their cat now knows what's on the tape, everyone with even a smidgeon of hearing knows that both sides have dealt with the controversial figure on the tape, yet the LA Times won't make it public, on account of journalistic integrity.

Journalistic integrity my #######! If it was Sarah Palin on the tape it would have been released quicker than you could say Boo! and carried on every major network news show in the USA.

So before you single out Fox and call them the Devil, remember that it cuts both ways.

If Obama gets elected, the media will have played an enormous part in his victory. And that is not the way an election should be won.

Didn't mommy teach you when you were 6 that two wrongs don't make a right? Sure there are some left-leaning media outlets & any blatant distortion of the facts is wrong, but to condone what Fox does is total hypocrisy.

I'm forced to watch CNN & Fox all day long at work (military EOC with news on 4 screens) & although CNN might lean a little left Fox leans quite a bit to the right. I'm basing this on a few things. First of all Fox has McCain on a lot more than Obama & their commentary about McCain is much more positive than when they speak about Obama. Secondly they often have a right wing commentator on and nobody to counter what he says, so it's entirely one-sided. CNN at least has about equal coverage of the candidates & commentators from both sides.

Right wingers of course argue that most of the media is biased against them & Fox just evens out the playing field a bit, but manure from either side of the fence is still manure. Therefore the "two wrongs make a right" philosophy is fatally flawed.

I would agree that there are more left leaning media outlets, but they tend to be much more subtle in their bias than Fox (and I gave a very objective description earlier about why I feel this way when I compared Fox & CNN). Fox beats people over the head with their bias, but like I said two wrongs don't make a right.

Does it really matter what flavor each media outlet is? After all, it isn't a misconception that TV exists to give its public what it wants. But yes I totally agree with your observation- liberal bias in the media tends to be more subtly applied with a couple of obvious exceptions while the conservative bias is pretty much not hidden. What this means is that some conservatives will read wayyyy too much into the liberal analysis as a hidden mechanism to influence society towards liberal values.

If it were such a big deal this country would be a heck of a lot more left-leaning than it actually is. Which makes this subtle liberal-evil connection that some our neo-con friends believe exists to be quite fallacious in fact and ridiculous in style.

The major mechanism I see of our population being baited towards any particular idiocy has already taken place from the transition from true social conservatives to $ neo-conservatism by way of using the classical conditioning paradigm to scare individuals and masses into followers through the amazing power of ignorance.

Fox is totally biased, but they have babes in short skirts so I can overlook it to a point. As for Megyn Kelly I'll bet money she's sleeping with her co-host, based on the way they interact with one another.
