But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

practice practice practice!!! Google DMV cone test tips!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Yeah, I'm watching some stuff on YouTube.

I am meeting someone there with a bike and will have a bit of time to practice.

I haven't ridden since hmmm...November of 2006.

Hahaha!

It's true.

I can do it.

Back in Sask, all I had to do was a quick 5 min drive. The tester followed behind me in a car, he had a walkie talky and I had an ear piece, super easy. no cone test!!

I did the cone test in Vancouver...long time ago.

It was very long and sordid.

Had to even walk the bike standing beside it...and then whilst on it do a three point turn...walk it backwards.

Lots of stuff.

Never got to stage three in BC.

It is a zillion times harder to get a motorcycle license in BC then here.

I would prefer a road test.

Been a longtime since I did it...but I did it.

I remember it being incredibly easy...couple figure 8s....safe stops....etc.

I'd suggest you try to do it on a bike that's smaller than you would normally ride.

It's important that you look secure on the bike, not like the bike is going to takeover you.

Nice to be able to firmly plant both feet on the ground...not on your toes.

With the weather getting colder....the tester should get you through pretty fast :)

Good Luck...and be careful on the streets. Illinois drivers really don't know how to deal with motorcyclists.

Takes practice, in terms of physics, you have far better control over your bike if your weight/ your weight + the weight of you bike is a low ratio, or in short, use a light bike so your body movements have more effect. Ha, seen guys with Harley's that couldn't even pick them up if they fell over, had to call a tow truck, they don't have very much control.

Did you know you can get killed on those things? Wouldn't be bad if you didn't have to share the roads with idiots. Helmets are equal, can save a bashed in head, but also can snap your neck, all depends upon how you land. But to be legally protected in an accident, Helmet, heavy leather jacket, chaps, and heavy leather boots, and very thick leather gloves. Not really comfortable on a 100*F day, but what the heck, we are tough, right?

Just stay off the Kennedy, the Eisenhower, the Dan Ryan, and most importantly, Lake Shore Drive. Be safe!

Ha, what about all those side streets with countless intersections and people pulling out from parking without looking first? A good friends wife had one of the nicer accidents, or so called accidents, hate that word. A woman whipped out in front of her to make a left turn, friend's wife was wearing a helmet, crashed through her rear door window and landed without too much injury in her back seat.

I rode a scooter (Yamaha 49CC, vroom vroom) for about ten years (all year round...hey I love Vancouver for that), and then had an old Honda Hawk 400 for almost 2 years. I rode it for about 8 months all together maybe?? putting almost 10,000 miles on it. Ha! I love to ride. I was away too much to be with my "Emily" (the bike's name) at that time.

Yes, gear is important.

Never will ride without a helmet!

Yup...no kidding.

I don't have a motorcycle here in Chicago yet.

I will be looking into it later...

Borrowing a 300 CC I believe...maybe a 250.

Good to get a small one for the test.

Crazy!

Who's coming to the Chicago meet?

I'd love to come.

There are just too many things already planned for that day and night.

I was entertaining the thought and will put it out there:

ice skating at Millennium Park as soon as it opens...for us all.

Yippee!!!

I love figure skating.
