I have my medical exam tomarrow down here in south carolina. What happens during this? I have had my gallbladder removed and im not sure on the date of that, will that be important to know and tell them? Also I had/have panic attacks, diagnosed and was on medication for them for about 5 years, I havent taken any for maybe 3 years now, will I have to tell them about that? Will that hurt me?

I'm really nervous. How will i know if passed or not, will they tell me? Will i be allowed to look in the envelope they give me?

How about the HPV vaccination, I need toget that, anyone have any experiences with that?

Are they going to do a gyn exam with it?

Medical is sealed... you might get a copy of it if you ask... but you might not...

I would expect HPV if age 26 and under

The exam is immigration related and is not a "full blown" exam... It should not be a real "invasive" type exam...

Medical history will be asked for

There isn't much to worry about. They will ask you about you history, unless you havve active TB or possibly another contagious disease or condition that might harm others, you have nothing to worry about. Having panic attacks is not a ground for disqualification. If you are likely to become a public charge due to a a medical condition then that's another story but that's not your case at all. It is a very cursorry exam and in the case of my Mother, the doctor just took a 1 second peek down her underwear and that was it. It depends on the doctor but most people have had pretty uneventful examinations. You'll do fine!

It is not a big deal. No gyn exam.

I got a copy of my medical. They took blood for HIV test and Syphilis, ask me a bunch of questions, measured me and got my weight. It took ca. 30 min.

But I had to come back to get my results.

Make sure you have enough money.

I paid $175 for the medical but I didn't know that taking my blood were not included and i had to pay another $100.

ROC - approved 08/2011
