The keyboard still seems to be working thus far... the tea did not have any sugar in it and I tipped the laptop immediately to drain out what I could. Any other suggestions?

you can wash your keyboard..we do it all the time at work...make sure it is dry before using it....

You can absolutely soak it in the sink with warm water.

Just do not use it until completely dry...as Almaty said.

It will fry the circuit board if it is even damp and you plug it back in.

I have done it too....long time ago before this laptoppy was in my life.

Borrow a keyboard in the meantime.

you can wash your keyboard..we do it all the time at work...make sure it is dry before using it....

Make sure to disconnect the keyboard from the computer before doing so. Many a computers have I seen lose their AIs due to owner negligence.

Before you leave tonight, take apart the keyboard and clean it with Lysol towelettes; then let the keyboard dry out, and put it back together tomorrow morning.
