Hello Everyone,

My lawyer sent up the DS 230 information and the RFI for orginal signature for the I-864 on 24 OCT (NVC did not believe that it was an orginal signature, for some dumb reason) I call today and they still don't have record of the receipt in their computer system. How long does this take to complete the CR1?

I read many of your forums. I am now nervous that the NVC will come up with some other stuff that is wrong or they think is wrong with the paperwork. In the meantime, my husband is depressed and keeps asking me information I don't know (timelines, etc.) The consulate said that they sent him the packet for the K3, but all his orginal documents are at the NVC. I did not dream that the NVC would be such a hard and trying process. I just want to crawl under the covers and cry. It is hard to go the work and plan the future not knowing what is going to happen and when. Everything is it seems is always on hold and pending, waiting for something concrete. I don't know how much longer I can go on. Now the holidays are approaching. Oh course back in the end of Feb when I filed, I thought he would be with me by now. How can I cope?

You cope as best you can knowing that if you love this man you will walk through fire for him and her for you. You take each step of the process and knock them down as they come along. Knowing that chipping away you will eventually find the end.

Keep your head up and hope in your heart. And KNOW that you both will get through the process

I agree with Boorai, you just have to tell yourself there is an end to the process.

I've been feeling the same thing lately, that I'm tired of waiting; not just the process as it's only been a few months. But waiting to meet each other for the first time, waiting for him to find a job, waiting for when we are able to apply, waiting for the next time I can see him, waiting for this process... waiting another year until I can move. It all needs so much patience and seeing everyone around me just *have* what they do without having to wait and being so happy makes it more difficult. I just tell myself that every week that passes is a strike off the calender and in the end, there won't be any more waiting.

I totally agree that this is such a hard process - depressing and totally overwhelming at times. We just have to keep pushing forward and eventually we'll get to the end and be reunited with our loved one. I will do whatever it takes. Sometimes I have to take things minute by minute- other times I do better and can take a day or two at a time. In the end, I know it will all be worth it. Hang in there- as hard as it is- know you aren't alone..... just keep thinking ahead to happier and brighter days. One day this will all be behind you.

Blessings of peace to you.

i have heard this happening to someone else as well. so the best advise to everyone who is going through NVC, sign papers in blue. Those people up there dont have eyes, they have buttons.

Hello Everyone!

Thank You! I feel a little better.

Reguardless, I will see him on Christmas. (Even if it is in India) Hopefully, I am praying, we should at least know something if not have had the interview by then. I would love to fly back with him with me!

Yes, Good Point, cnmb! Everybody! Sign your documents in BLUE INK! Ball Point pen if you can and press hard!

That was the dumbest excuse for RFE that I ever heard from the NVC. It was like they were just looking for something. I just hope they have everything now and don't come up with more excuses. I know his originals should be alright, due to the different type of paper they have there. Plus, on his Police Card they actually use one of his passport photos and stamp over it. Can't get any more original than that!

The only thing that makes me feel better is knowing that there are so many people out there, like on this board, that are going through the same thing. Many of us are still waiting for an approval, let alone hearing from nvc.

I would just think about your Christmas and make plans for a nice holiday for the two of you, even if it's in India. It will help you plan and focus on something positive.

waiting is the great virtue being taught by USCIS.
