I had my interview today at the Embassy. The consul said that everything is good except for my husband's Affidavit of Support. We submitted Affidavit of Support but my husband's income is not sufficient so we got a co-sponsor who is my aunt and qualifies for the income requirement. We've been told here and also searched online that if sponsor does not qualify then can get co-sponsor and would not be a problem....

The consul who interviewed me said that my husband woul d still need to submit employment letter. Currently, my husband is applying for a job as CNA because he studied the past months. This has confused me and my husband... consul said that the k3 visa does not apply for the co-sponsor? Please we need advice..what should we do? :crying:

Are you saying the CO won't allow your aunt to be a cosponsor? Also is your hubby currently working?

Did you only submit one I-134? If so, your husband will need to submit one along with any supporting documentation as well. Manila, sometimes accepts co-sponsors but the petitioner must submit an affidavit of their own regardless.

I submitted I-134 for both my husband as the sponsor and my aunt as the co-sponsor.... im confused why the CO would still need my husband employment letter when he just finished studying and currently looking for a job... please share any advice so we know what to do?

First, always just comply with such requests regardless. The CO probably wants to approve the visa based on your husband's current employment instead of accepting a cosponsor.

Hi pushbrk... Thanks for your answers. Does it mean then that visas are approved according to CO's judgement even though we followed the policies for K-3 visa? This is confusing... but anyway me and my husband will send what they request for... by the way, we were asked to submit I-134 again. If we submit one, it will still have the same info on the I-134 I sent. Can we use the old I-134 since it will still be the same info on it, we'll just add the employment letter with it... Thanks...
