i'm a little confused and any help would be much appreciated.

i'm looking at the forms i'm waiting to arrive in packet 3 and the ds-230 is asking for all education institutions attended. i never gave my full name to my college so the name on my degree is with my alias because my full name used to cause too many spelling confusions that were quite frankly irritating. i never thought it would be an issue but then i never thought i'd be applying for a visa to move to the states either. ;)

anyway, so i haven't stated my alias on any of my forms because i didn't even remember that i did that at college but now that i see that question i remember it quite clearly. :(

do i need to make them aware of this alias now or should i just leave the alias section blank as i have done previously? i don't want it to look like i'm changing my story half way through (and possibly lying) but i also don't want them to check with the college and not find my name as it is stated either, although it is pretty easy to link my real name to my alias...

When you see the question, "Other names used" indicate other names used.

packet three has just been sent to me, i haven't previously indicated any other names used as this really didn't cross my mind. is it going to look bad on my part or cause any problems if i put in other names used now when i didn't do it before? thanks.
