i went to my interview today at 10:15 then sat and wait for like 20 mins. then my name called my wife and i went in her office.she ask my date of birth my parents name and how long we are together and ask us for the original documents like birth certificate naturalization paper and ask for my wife's w2 form we didn't have it at the time so she said she need the form and gave us untill 3:00pm to come back but before we left she let us sign a paper for the conditional status and told us to bring additional proof that we live at the same location even though she photocopied our drivers licsence which had the same address on them.So we rushed home and got the W2 form and we printed off emails from 3 years before and telephone records and photocopy bills that were mailed to our address my car insurance with my wife's name on it .So we went back to the office and gave her every thing. She said wow thanks skip through some pages and said i am going to review the information and that was it but aren't i suppose to get a stamp in my passport?cause she said my green card would be mailed to our address within 3 weeks. Why no stamp?

Because either you haven't been officially approved yet OR the office you went to doesn't give out the stamp anymore when your AOS is approved. The card is sufficient, you really don't need the stamp.

You've been approved. Congratulations! That is what we were told, and sure enough the GC arrived in just 14 days. They don't stamp the passport anymore, as far as I know.

Don't worry about the stamp. If you are approved, you will get your green card in the mail 2 weeks later. I did not get the stamp either but I got my green card 11 days after the interview. Check my timeline...

They will stamp if there is a holdup with the card, and you need proof that you are approved (for work/travel).

If you were married over two years at the time of approval, you will get the 10 year one. Married for less than 2 years, 2 years conditional green card with removal to be done.

AOS Approved on 10-17-08 (details in profile)

Removal of Conditions on 07-19-10

In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

I love my hubby beyond anything in this world.
