Question 2: Have you received public assistance in the US from any source.......

I have been on WIC and receive financial medical assistance, and my husband JUST NOW started receiving Foodstamps and Cash Assistance because he was unemployed and did not have an income. We only received it once, and I will have to stop it pretty soon, because he just found a new job (has not been paid yet). So do I put YES? Will that be a reason for denial???? Didn't someone mention that WIC and foodstamps and all that is accepted because it is our right to receive it?

No, they don't deny it just on these things alone but if they ask you have to say yes on the form because they can track you by the SSN anyway and find out themselves.

Ok, thanks, yea I definitely don't want to lie, but is the question about ME, or my husband and I together? I wasn't sure if WIC and medical assistance would fall under that category. The foodstamps and cash assistance are on my husband's name.
