I have 3 excellent reasons to vote for Obama:

1. Metta is voting McCain

2. Kaydee is voting McCain

3. GaryC is voting McCain

There are of course more far right wingnuts on the forum but if you want close-minded, uninformed rhetoric just see what these clowns post.

as garyc hasn't been on vj in quite a while, plus he's stated he's sitting out this election, what's the point of including him in that?

Because every single one of his posts are so far right they make Cheney look liberal... Rogue has been MIA & VW has been well behaved as of late. If I've missed any of the right wingnuts I apologize

Now Charles I saw that you denounced an inappropiate post earlier so kudos to you (the thread got locked so I couldn't give you props).

that could be considered baiting.

Baiting of the leftist wingnuts continues, and they always go for it in droves.

If what I've been doing lately is considered to be "well-behaved", I may need to step it up.

Hmm....I believe the Obama group tend to show more evidence to support the candidate. Actually, a lot of students here in Massachusetts have shown support for Obama. Every University that I went to attend the IEEE meetings, I noticed the Obama/Biden button on their backpacks, bags, textbooks.

he, he, he..

OT has become too bla'se with complacent Obamabots...

So, I throw some red meat and oh,boy!

...because you can't argue on the issues....because you'd be faced with having argue with yourself.

Your ignorance is profound......He did argue the "issues".....Obama's candidacy is rooted in superficiality, ignorance and is more akin to a cult following than an informed one. He's the "One", lol. He's a celebrity that has parity with Brittany and Lohan, and yes Paris too......

That is the primary ISSUE!

I ask again, what the heck are you fools going to do when McCain wins this? Are you all going to whine and cry and behave like a bunch of idjits for the next four years? Oh wait, you've always acted that way!

The real question is how will you save face when Obama wins (since that seems much more likely). Switch identities?

Oh noes VW is going to go on a rampage!! Your reply just reinforced my point... as you know I'm not even a liberal at all (I listed my political beliefs in another thread, which are by no means liberal) so your knee-jerk reaction to call me a "leftist wingnut" is pure fiction. On the other hand the people I mentioned really do have (far) right views, so basically it's a moderate vs the right wingnuts.

I can see where a centrist view looks liberal if you are standing far right, but it's just not reality. If you look at my posts I've reacted to the really ridiculous stereotypes & exaggerations that the right wingnuts post here, but you would be really hard pressed to find a single post from me that supports what would be considered a liberal viewpoint.

The only thing you can grab onto is that I'm voting for Obama and not McCain, but as I've said many times there is a large group of Independents (like myself) who are voting for Obama. I've also said that Independents will make this election for one candidate & break it for another & numerous polls support this. Finally I agree with a fair amount of McCain's policies & despite all the rhetoric and misinformation out there if you compared his policies to Obama's they aren't as dissimilar as you might think. The primary reason I am voting for Obama and not McCain is that McCain has run a dishonest, dirty, sleazy campaign and I for one am really tired of Karl Rovian tactics.

That shouldn't surprise anyone, really. Its not uncommon for some right wingers to view anything 'left' of themselves as liberal.

Whatever that means anyway. There's way too much bipolarism when its convenient to the fringe elements.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

OK so who has a good recipe for cooking a New York Strip Steak?

One thing I always do is heat the plates in the oven (kind of like how Ruth's Chris Steakhouse cooks them in the plate).

If you do try this, make sure you put the plates onto a charger plate, not directly on your table or placemat.

OMG! I LOVE Ruth's Chris!!!

arrgh... now I want STEAK!

oh like McCain is any better..... all politicians suck :P

they all say what you want to hear...

Even I have to agree with that! :P

YAYYYYYYYYY! Something we ALL can agree on.

Can I hug you now? hug012.gif

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

This is what I never understood about the McCain camp. I rarely see people actually giving supportive viewpoints of McCain and his views toward the Presidency.

And even when they criticize Obama, it usually has nothing to do with his Presidential campaign, instead, the most trivial or outlandish things like Bill Ayers, Reverend Wright, ACORN, some random Obama supporters supposedly doing graffiti on a McCain supporter's house nonsense.

I've seen it especially on this board. When people here show how ridiculous McCain's tax plans are, people retort by calling Obama the "messiah" or "One". When people here show how McCain's foreign policy will be a continuation of the Bush Doctrine, the retort is it's Obama's fault for what Bill Ayers did in his past, Obama's fault for what Wright says, Obama's fault for what his supporters do.

If this is not the common theme, please inform me what is, because this is all I've seen since I've joined.

I've been the only one to criticize Obama with his connections to big business, preserving immunity to business collusion with government over the privacy and people's rights not to be perpetually wiretapped. There was one topic about Fannie and Freddie that was somewhat relevant, but in the few cases McCain supporters CAN say something about Obama, just like in this case, McCain's camp had their hand in the cookie jar too, as well as the rest of Congress.
