November '08 K-1 Filers

Hey thought I would join this thread as Im a November filer too (fiancee sent the petition in yesterday). Look forward to the ride together with other people from November until the day we are all waiting for (current planned wedding date is June 27 so fingers crossed Im in the USA by then). Which reminds me I must start my timeline. Look forward to hearing everyons's progress over the following months

Welcome! Don't set any concrete wedding plans until you have visa in hand. You never know if you'll get held up in USCIS, getting an interview date, or if you'll get one of those pesky Administrative Reviews after the interview. You'll probably be fine though, coming from Australia.

That's true...we're just having a civil ceremony when I get there but our actual wedding is in April 2010..we're booking our reception hall...im hoping that I wouldve moved to the US by then!!

our check was cashed!!! wow - i cant believe the progression of our petition since filing it ourselves!!!! Im so happy about that!!! Now waiting for fiance to check the number at the back so we can track the case...im so excited...but i gotta calm down haha..

If it helps, they cashed your check so you technically already have NOA1, it's just not in your hands. So begin your celebrations right now, you are officially in the system.

thanks! but I know but Ive seen cases where their check has cleared and didnt get their NOA1 so they had to refile... so...fingers crossed...

Maybe it's happened, but it won't happen to you. Be happy, break out the bubbly, and enjoy yourself right now because it's a long time before that next celebration.

Yeah we are both aware that there is going to be a possability of it being delayed. I sure hope not though waiting is going to be pretty hard already!

yep if they cashed your check I would think Noa1 has been mailed and should be on its way. Good luck and now starts the long wait for Noa2. But once that arrived everything gets better and moves much much faster. Good Luck
