We're refiling this week @ Vermont....so ill be popping in here every now and then :D

Congrats...why re-fling? Did you file at the wrong service center first?

No didn't file at the wrong service center...We had a terrible lawyer, so many delays, petition getting sent back so we've put together the pack ourselves and sent it off today. It should get there tomorrow so hopefully third time lucky!

Wow bummer. Sorry to hear it, but glad you're back on track. So with your original petition, did you just finally cancel it? How did that work?

I know - its been stressful...our lawyer cancelled it and is sending our petition back to us...We decided to put together everything ourselves because we knew it would take them forever just to send it...so far - its been three weeks since they said they were going to send it and we are still waiting to date!

That's true - we were referred to this lawyer by a friend who had a fantastic experience. The thing I dont understand is that my SO is from New York and the lawyer has an office in NY..turns out that our petition was being handled in the California office!! :wacko: ...hence the double handling and delays. I think we were just one of the 'unlucky' ones - at the time...

It feels good to have finally gotten the ball rolling, but now comes the long wait. :(

Hey thought I would join this thread as Im a November filer too (fiancee sent the petition in yesterday). Look forward to the ride together with other people from November until the day we are all waiting for (current planned wedding date is June 27 so fingers crossed Im in the USA by then). Which reminds me I must start my timeline. Look forward to hearing everyons's progress over the following months
