Congrats Ellie!

My fiance received his packet 3 yesterday. The mail system in Haiti is pretty crazy, he has probably had it for a week or more and the post office (who is supposed to call when something comes in) never called my fiance...anyway we have it and Jul is going to jump on the medical appointment Monday, get passport pics and get his police clearance papers. I mailed off the Affidavit of support today to a friend that is flying to Haiti (her fiance will bring it to mine), he should receive it next week...I am soooooooo looking forward to the finish line and can't wait for an interview date!!! It sounds like good things are happening for the November family!

We're set for 10 years!!

I never posted in this thread before, but would like to chime in finally. Received NOA1 on November 28th, 2008. After what seem to be a long wait through this whole process, an interview date is scheduled for July 30th, 2009. Now, I just hope the interview goes well. Best of luck to everyone here.

I got my NOA1 November 12th 2008, and still not a word.....yet.

Congratulations to all who got approved so far! How exciting! ^_^

I hope ours is not too far behind!

Thanks friends!

Just curious...your signature ticker shows you havent seen each other in 17 months? :wow: That takes serious dedication to your relationship. I wonder if CIS is taking a look at that. Just a thought.

I definitely agree with the others....you need to start pushing CIS, get a request off to your representing US Senator to push a button on this.

Keep us posted.

Thanks you guys!

It has been a VERY rough time for the both of us, and we just don't have the money to keep visiting each other ( we rather save it for our future here. ) I am so GREATFUL for things like skype where we can see and hear each other everyday, so at LEAST we have that. We are hanging in there, we know that once this process is over we have our whole lives together. ;)

We actually do have an immigration attorney who has been helping us through the process, he told us that since the site says November 25th 2008 is being processed atm, that it actually is a 30 day window of Oct. 25th to Nov. 25th (Which we are in since we are the 12th ) ....so according to Vermont we are still not late until Dec. 13th and after. Heh.

I have called and when I finally get to talk to a human being I don't really get an answer other then I am still in the system and our paperwork is not lost but it is hard to rely on them as we all know.

I think one of the hardest things is waiting for that phone call from our lawyer to tell us we have our NOA2 in, every phone call gets my heart jumping for a moment!

Thank you for listening, and I will be sure to update when and if we get any news! I am really glad I stumbled across this site, it has been a lot of help.

This should be addressed in your regional forum as different embassy's require certain information and operate within different timeframes.

If you need extra time to plan something, like attending the interview with your fiance(e), you can start calling DOS in a week or so. They'll be able to tell you the interview date as soon as it's assigned. I found out our interview date over a week before my fiancee got her P4.
