Ok so I am healthy. Just got back from my medical. Got one shot (Papilloma virus) and apparently need two more, in a month and then six months. Certainly hope they are covered by my fiancee medical insurance. they are kind of expensive Anyway everything is good so I am ready for the interview.

bapacker good luck with your interview. don't except anything else than APPROVAL we are in the same boat here

Tonight we'll have a party so I plan to celabrate my medical pass (not like we need a reason)

Hi peeps!

Ring still hasn't turned up It's still stuck in customs....BOOOO! But, Dave has picked out our apartment and he is moving in at the end of the month....I am sooo excited about that!

As far as I know, packet three is on the way. I tracked a package out of NVC that must have been ours because of the date....it arrived in london yesterday, so fingers crossed packet 3 next week! I'll send back the checklist asap so that we can get an interview date. Dave is sending me all of his docs on Monday so that should be with me soon!

I booked the medical early so that I could arrange time off work.....im nervous about it!

Just_Friend! You dont HAVE to do any more of the HPV shots. As long as you have the relevant vaccinations ticked for the K1 and you file for AOS before the second round of HPV is required, no one will question it.

I am a bit confused about my HPV. I will be 26 when I have my K1 medical but 27 when i file for AOS and therefore fall outside of the required timelines. From what I have gathered, the vaccinations are in fact required for AOS not the K1 medical, so I may not need to have it!

QUESTION: We have med exam next week. We wanna know if

vaccine shots are included in fee?? How do they say whether or

not is needed?? I know all will go fine, just wondering about those.

We have interview at manila embassy May 21. Yipppppppeee!! I

can't wait to get thru all. What are you guys taking to the interview

process??

I miss my baby, my Oury!! I can't wait til we get thru all soon.

Also, what are u guys deciding on flights?? booking before getting

approval or waiting til after??

As for the medical, you would be better off posting in your regional forum and gaining information from people who have experience. Every country differs but I know in London, we have to pay additional fees for any shots required. To gain my vacination record, I just went to my doctor and asked for it.

Same here. Because I was not able to provide my vacination record, I had to pay about $30 for the shuts, in addition to the $150 medical exam fee.

I booked my flight before my interview, because I am sure that I will get the visa, and I cannot wait to be back together with my finace. Good luck with all things, everyone!

Hey guys been about a week since I last posted and so much going on here already!!

Ellie - good to hear you're out of AP...sorry to hear about the ring..that should hopefully show up soon! If London's already received the packet then you definitely should receive packet three this week. How exciting about Dave finding an apartment...we're gonna start apartment hunting around August/September...

As for us, everythings sorted out and was going to post the packet last Friday but I had forgotten to bring something to work so wasnt able to. Then Friday afternoon I had received a phone call from the police department advising that the fingerprint check was ready for pick up. I was like ???? I already received the police certificate a while ago so I had assumed that, that was all that I needed..for some crazy reason I didnt think I would get another certificate for the finger print check..thank goodness for not being able to send the packet off last Friday...I knew there was a reason why I forgot something!! Well at least, I'll be picking it up tomorrow then send off the packet on Tuesday and wait for this interview date.

As for the shots, I had to pay addidtional for the tetanus/diphtheria shot...I had purchased a r/t flight for October 31st this year..so basically an open ticket which I will use the return flight for August next year to celebrate our baby's 1st year bday here....

vol4life congratulations for the interview date. Don't worry everything will be fine with you. As Ellie said it is different for each coutry but for what i've heard you have to pay for the additional shots. The medical fee is just for the examination. I paid $74 for the general procedures and then 189$ for the HPV shot. I didn't need anything else. I got my vacination record from our version of CDC with english translation. You really have to check with other people from your country or you can just call the clinic and they will give you all the details.

I bought my ticket in advance because i found a great deal and couldn't resist it. I might regret if there is a delay of some sort but if everything is ok i will be with my fiance in about a week after the interview (keeping fingers crossed)

- e-mails, skype calls records, chats, etc.

From what I understand the fee to St. Lukes covers all necessary vaccinations. Good Luck.

DS 157 is only for men. And yes i got my medical records as well.

Only for men???? Where did you get that info?

The name of the form is "SUPPLEMENTAL NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION." It says nothing about only being for men.

So after typing that, I did some research and found this memo that does support your statement that it's only for men:
