US spouse visiting me here...visa???

Hi guys just another question....i woke up wondering about a few things today lol

my hubby wants to visit only for a couple of weeks early 09, does he need to apply for a visa? or are USC's allowed to come as tourists without a visa?

if so how long does the process take getting one and how?

since he's not coming for long i would rather not complicate things and him say he's visiting his wife....he has family here so could just say he is visiting them?

i figured there must be someone on here who knows the process instead of trying to find it on the confusing uk immigration sites!

He does not need a visa to enter the UK as a visitor. I had no issues entering the UK to visit my wife before she come here, It was not even an issued when I told them who I was visiting.

No visa necessary for USC to travel to the UK, just a passport. My husband has been back in England for almost 2 years now & I've been over to visit him at least 6 times. When I enter I tell them that I'm visiting my husband and that we're going through the immigration process trying to get him back to the US. Nobody seems to care going in that direction.
