Hi all....

My petition for the K1 visa was just approved by the CSC and is being forwarded to the NVC. In trying to prepare for what is to come I have a couple questions.

1. what is the difference between I864, I864A and I134? Which is needed and at what stage (NVC or Embassy Packet 3/4)?

2. Is it possible to obtain these forms in advance so that my fiance in France has them in hand when the embassy requests them?

Thanks for any help...

I-864 = Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A of the Act

I-864A = Contract Between Sponsor and Household Member

I-134 = Affidavit of Support

i-134 is used at the interview at the embassy/consulate level, the i-864 is used for aos.

thanks charles....

i still am wondering though....at what point will i need to fill out the forms? i am trying to have them filled out ahead of time so that when either NVC or the French embassy request them, they are ready to go.

Which is needed first and by whom, NVC, USCIS or embassy?

thanks!

Download, fill out, and have notarized, the I-134, then send it along with the supporting documentation, to your fiance(e) ASAP. You'll send the I-864 when she gets here. Please read the step by step guides here.
