what kind of photos for I-129F

Hello,

I'm starting the K-1 visa process and in the instructions it mentions including a passport style photograph. I also see in the photograph specification document on this site that it should be about two inches square. My question is, where should I go to get a photograph this size in the U.S.? Because I think a passport style photograph is smaller than this. What did you do when you filed your application?

Thank you for your help!

Jeff

Just head down to your local WalMart and ask for passport photos. They are inexpensive and they are the perfect size. My I-129f was just approved. Good luck

I agree, 2 square inches seems very large...my passport photo isn't that big! my fiancee needs to get them, and he's in Ecuador... are these "passport photos" the same across the board in every country? where can he go and/or what does he specify to the photographer to make sure he gets a photo the US will accept? if i remember correctly when i got "passport photos" for a Bolivian visa in Chile, it was much smaller than 2square inches....

THANKS

Just to clarify - yes, many countries vary when it comes to passport photos - which is why the instructions ask for US style photos, (2" by 2" (51mm by 51mm). Getting US style/size photos in the US is simple since it's a standard everywhere - however, in other countries you need to specify the size or you may end up with the wrong size and in this case, size does matter.

Yes be sure that your fiance in the Phils makes sure that the background of her pics is white. When Cherel went and asked for passport pics the attendant used a blue background. She ended up having to go back and having them taken over again.

Good luck

Bob
