E-mail notification

I had e-mail notification set up at USCIS. Now that my K-1 has gone to the State Department, is there a website where I can sign up for e-mail notification of the progress?

I received a snail mail letter from NVC saying that they received the application and will send it on to the Embassy.

Unfortunately once the petition is approved by DHS and sent through the NVC to the embassy or consulate their is no automatic updating or email notifications.

The only thing you can do is wait to hear from the embassy...if after an unreasonable amount of time you hear nothing from the embassy, you should be able to email or call them directly asking of the status, etc.

It is unfortunate how 'un-connected' these two agencies (DHS/DOS) really are. Good luck to you.

True you can no longer get email noitification. However you can email the NVC at NVCInquiry@state.gov (be sure to put the NVC case number and beneficiary's name in the subject line) You can also call the automated telephone line 24 hours a day 7 days a week 1-603-334-0700. You can speak with a person Mon thru Fri 7:30am to midnight.

The letter is the only thing you will receive until packet 3 is issued. You can call the NVC to get your new case # or see if the file has left for the Embassy/Consulate, you must speak to an operator, you cannot use the automated system.
