I recently posed this question somewhere else but didn't get any answers. Sorry to post again, but there must be somebody who knows some about this! This potential problem is driving us crazy!

My fiancee, the petitioner, is a server at a restaurant on an hourly rate. Her gross income is the sum of her hourly rate and tips, which she declares.

Her hourly income is, by itself, not enough to get her over the 125% poverty threshold. However, including the tips does push her over the threshold.

Is the fact that she is dependent on tips likely to cause a problem for the AOS?

Please please please can somebody give us some advice? It would be so greatly appreciated!

Yes, indeed I got some helpful answers, although I also had a followup question on a related issue - it's still a big issue for us. I'm still hoping somebody might be able to help us, hence, this particular thread.
