Since we went to the AOS appointment, and since we did not have a lot of things to show our marriage, if we make an infopass appointment, is there a good chance we could talk to the officer who interviewed us?

Or, can we drop off any new information? We need to do this before they make a decision.

Does anyone know the answer? Thanks

You need to provide them information only if they request it.

Yu and Dan, thanks -- Will try in fill in timeline soon. I am too upset today to do that today. We thought, later, after the interview, that we did not provide enough information and we felt we needed to explain what the officer did not understand. My husband proposed to me BEFORE he came here AND AFTER her came here. My husband made it sound like he proposed only after here came to the U.S. We only included each other on our bank accounts the day before our interview. But this is a bona fide marriage and we feel that we need to talk to the officer who interviewed us and give her letters from family and explain a few things before she decides to deny us and we find out we might not even have the option of appeal! We were also thinking to put my husband on my car ownership since he does not have a car right now. How do we alert the deciding officer to these things before its too late???!!!

I read your earlier posts. Try not to worry. Your interview is over and its not a good idea to make and INFOPASS appointment and present information that was not requested. Wait until USCIS contacts you again. If you get an RFE submitt the information they ask for. I'm not sure what will happen if you are denied...but from reading other VJ posts it seems like there is typically some appeal that can be made with in a limited time frame.

My advice is try not to worry. Collect additional evidence (I would focus on evidence before your interview date). If you're worried about the time of engagement...I'm sure you can find a dated e-mail to your hubby or a friend mentioning that you got engaged before he came to the US. If you are very worried about a denial, investigate what your options would be, find a VJ member or 2 who might offer good guidance, and maybe make a list of lawyers you would contact if you get a denial.

Sorry, there is not much you can do but wait.

I would also advice you not to worry.

I thought I had a bad interview... They won't just deny you. You will be given chances to justify yourself if needed. Seattle office seems to be giving decisions about 10 days past the interview date. Wait till at least then!

*hugs*

AOS Approved on 10-17-08 (details in profile)

Removal of Conditions on 07-19-10

In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

I love my hubby beyond anything in this world.
