My husband had an intverview in Jordan on October 2008 and was given a 221g which states that they are sending back our petition and going to deny our CR1 petition. I need help! The interviewer was a woman and she never even looked at our phone records. He said she looked at the pictures one by one, then focused on our emails. In the end she said you dont have enough evidence and said we are returning this back to USA and you can tell your wife not to contact us here. He said he never even seen this coming and was like in a daze. He remembers her saying you can tell your wife she can start all over if she wants, or you dont have to if you dont want to. Well maybe that is not word for word, but that is what he got out of it. He was crushed!!! We have spent hours and hours on the phone, but unfortuantely they were calling cards that you cant track that I got for really cheap..............I can call Jordan for $2 to a house phone for over an hour and 24 minutes to a cell phone!!!! What do they expect? But its not good proof! I have contacted the embassy by email and was told it was being returned and to contact USCIS for further details. I also have contacted my congressman who tells me that we will need to appeal it. Anyone got any ideas? Is there anything else that I can do at this time?

Thanks for any and all help!

Sorry this is happening to you!! There is a guide on the top of this MENA forum that might be helpful!! Did they give your husband a 221(g) or another form? Did it have something written on it?

Wow! I think there is a waiver you can file, like an info pass, and you'd need to do it immediately before the petition is returned. It will give you more time to submit more evidence, such as proof of relationship. They don't like photos as evidence from what I've heard. They like chat logs, Emails, Skype call logs, and proof of visits. Documentation documentation documentation.

I am so sorry this happened. I think this is the first time I have seen a 221g out of Jordan

If they need phone records then we're screwed. I have pay-as-I-go phone and no records. I sure hope Ibrahim gets the nice new guy and not this lady.

Good luck in turning this around.

I don't know if it helps or if it's something that you thought of but I used both direct dial on my cell phone (which it was easy to get logs for that) and also bought calling cards online at www.alosmart.com While I couldn't get a record of the individual calls, i did print out a year long log from alosmart showing the dates I bought cards and how much they were for, etc and we included that with our evidence. Can you check into something like that if you bought your cards online?

I really hope the best for you both in getting this turned around! Start making all the calls that you can think of now and I know the embassy told him something like tell her not to call us, but I don't see what it would hurt to call them and call here in the USA as well. As others said, definitely go read all the pinned information to see what others have done and had success with. Praying for you both (F)

I used www.alosmart.com also. What i did was go to my bank and had them print out all the $10 purchases I made to Alosmart since 2006 when we started talking! It was a bank print out from my account with a letter attached from a gal that works there saying to feel free to contact her if they had any questions. I did not do a print out from Alosmart, but I can do that also. Thanks for bringing that to my attenton.

I don't have any advice other than read the pinned forum up top - really long, but has some good info. I just wanted to say that I'm praying for you and that you guys keep it from getting returned (L)

I am so sorry to that has happened to you.

These people are toying with our lives and emotions. I am surprised cuz I dont see much rejection coming out of Jordan.

I also want to know what brand phone card you are using that gives you that much time for so little money?

Others might know of other sites, but we were talking about going to www.alosmart.com and you sign up and then they call you once to make sure that your information is valid and then you are free to buy your cards online - You can use their search form to find out what card is the best (cheapest or best quality) for the country that you want to call. And then you get a pin code emailed to you and a phone number and you don't have to leave home. Like I said others might know other ways that are cheaper, but this worked for us. The downside is that you can't really track the individual phone conversations, but you can print out a log (they hold it for a few months at a time) which shows the time, date, and amount you purchased a phone card for. Don't forget to print your logs as you go because after a certain amount of time or cards purchased they do move the bottom ones off the list and put the new purchases up. They are very helpful also if you ever have problems with a card or didn't get the amount of time you were supposed to get. one call to the customer service and you typically have another card free of charge from them to use

My husband received a 212 (a) (5) (A) NOT A 221g. They returned all his original documents to him at the end of the interview. Can anyone tell me what we can do now? They are returning the petition with the recommendation to revoke.

Can you scan the form, black out pertinent information, and upload it here for us to read?

Try your senator. When I was denied the first time I tried both my senator and congressman. Congressman was worthless but senator helped a LOT.

Hint! Get a long distance carrier and use daily for SHORT calls so you have a record. After talking a short time use your cheap way.

she has contacted her senator. who they say that someone has been assigned to their case and that they would hear something within 4 to 6 weeks regarding it. She really doesnt know what to do at this point. The embassy emailed her back and told her that there was nothing they could tell her that she just needed to contact them here (USCIS) for further information.
