VSC to NVC

Hey everyone! My petitions were approved 10/14/08. Still NVC says that they have not received my petitions. Tomorrow it will have been 2 weeks so I will call and speak to a supervisor at the NVC. Should I also call the VSC? I am a little worried because I do not want to wait month after month only to learn that my petitions have been lost. I am seeing several people that have been approved on the same day or close to the same day at the CSC and the NVC has already received their petitions. I do not understand why I am waiting so long when my petitions only had to travel from VT to NH. Any input or advice would be greatly apprecitated as to what I should do. Also let me know what your experiences were going from the VSC to the NVC. Thanks everyone!

It can take anywhere from 1-7 weeks for the NVC to receive your petition, I've seen people who have said it took 12 weeks. Just gotta keep calling the NVC until they've said they've received it.

Does anyone know if the VSC tracks the petitions to the NVC? Certainly they must track which petitions are leaving their office and when...anyone know?

HI there I also was @ the VSC and was approved on 10/1/08, and just recvd my packet from NVC on 10/24/08. I called them as soon as I was approved and they can advise if they recvd it or not and your assigned case #. I would give it up 2 weeks as they have to prepare your docs with all of your case # info. Good Luck!

Guys your posts have made my day. It seems VSC has started working on petitions with NOA1's of mid march time frame.

It took close to two weeks for them to receive mine from CSC to NVC. Just focus on making sure that you have all the paperwork and documents you need for NVC. This process goes so fast and so you want to be sure that you have it all packaged and ready to go. They are much more responsive there. I don't think that they will track from the VSC to NVC.

My advice is to follow this from Ling Che...I worked almost exactly

Thanks everyone for your input and comments. I appreciate the reassurance. I spoke to the NVC today and they said that I should call USCIS to make sure that petitions were sent to NVC. I called VSC and the lady did not have any information but said that if I had my NOA2 then the NVC should have my petitions. I called the NVC again and finally spoke to a supervisor. The supervisor said that I needed to wait 2 more weeks and promised that she would then check into my situation if the petitions were still not in the NVC system. So in other words...I have to wait an entire month because someone is sitting on my petitions.

It is interesting to know that you have to wait 4 weeks for an I-129F petition and 90 days for the I-130 petition at NVC. NVC gives different time frames based on the petition.
