hi every body,

i sent my aos applications a couple days ago so im wondering about whts the prosedure's like once u send ur AOS applications in?? and how many days u can expect to receive an answer??...do they set the interview before the issueance of the work authorization card? and whts the average time to recieve both the green card and the EAD??

any help would be appreciated and helpfull...thanks in advance.

AOS time line:

March 9, 2009... EAD ordered.

March 14, 2009... Received EAD Card.

March 16, 2009... AOS approved.

March 28, 2009... Green card received.

You should check the immigration timelines on this site and other members signatures.

Pretty much within a week or 2 you will get NOA and then your biometrics appointment letter, you should get EAD within 3 months and there is no set time for AOS, it could take any time from 4 months to 1 year on average, but if your read this forum a little more you will see cases that took 2 or 3 years, or 3 months. There is no rule.

09/26/2008 Interview Letter in mail (for 11/10)

11/10/2008 Interview (Day 199) APPROVED!

12/02/2008 Green Card received (Day 221)

ROC

09/20/2010 I-751 sent to California Service Center

09/21/2010 Notice Date (Day 1)

10/12/2010 Biometrics Notice in mail (for 11/03)

11/03/2010 Biometrics appointment (Day 44)

01/07/2011 APPROVED! (Day 109)

01/13/2011 Green Card received (Day 115)

We received our NOA 1 a week after we sent our application to Chicago then after 3 weeks I was scheduled to have my biometrics appointment. After that there's a long wait. In my case, I received the interview notice first before I got any notices regarding my EAD. I thought at first they disapprove it or it got lost somewhere. We'll as you can see in my timeline I got my EAD on the day of the interview which is late. In most cases, you receive your EAD first before your green card. It takes about a month to receive your green card after your application is approved. Hope this helps...

they will sent you a mail, some got it within 2 weeks or months. after receiving thier mail, you will receive another mail for your biometrics, then for interview. usually EAD comes first b4 green card.
