Ok, I have question about legal resident.

I came here with K1 visa and married my husband immediately. And my AOS interview is in December. My EAD has been approved. When I apply for jobs, they always ask my status like are you resident? or legal resident?

So what should I say? I am not a legal resident, but I am here legally????

Obviously being able to obtain EAD means that you are here legally. Please help me!!!!

I think you are getting confused between legal resident and permanent resident

You are a legal resident but you are not (yet) a permanent resident

To my understanding, once you receive your green card after your AOS application is approved, you become both a legal & permanent resident, though conditional for 2 years. Your legal & permanent residency will expire in 2 years that is why you need to apply for the green card valid for 10 years. This is just my opinion though & anyone out there who can explain this better is appreciated.

I think they are asking you for eligibility to work in the US.

Whatever their intention is, you are a legal resident.
