I get most of my recipes from allrecipes.com or the food network. A couple of years ago I made a turkey with canadian bacon and basted it in syrup and it was a total hit. It was a very good recipe I found from the food network, of course. ^_^

Well, I'm not a bacon expert 'cause I eat it maybe once a year (too greasy), but I was just paraphrasing. How many kinds of bacon are there?

Diana

i totally regret having a non-alcoholic punch for my wedding just because my neighbors don't drink and they didn't even show up.

people can choose their lifestyle different from ebveryone else, but they shouldn't expect everybody else to adjust their lives for them.

Well, if it's in Wiki... it must be ok to say...

It is sometimes called Irish bacon or Canadian bacon

That would've been cause to go take the punch to them after the reception...

wait for them to answer the door, then sploosh it on their off-white carpet?

For pumpkin pie I follow the recipe exactly on the back of a Libby's pumpkin can, 15 ounce, ha, that can I have is rather old, but with one exception. Instead of opening that can, get a fresh pumpkin, skin and remove the seeds, dice it, drop those piece in a blender to smash it up, and use that. Makes a huge difference in the taste and the flavor of the pie.

Thanksgiving is not Thanksgiving without pumpkin pie.

Second favorite is a fruit salad, just about anything, diced bananas, apples, oranges, pineapple, grapes, peaches, definitely coconut, mixed in with Ready Whip.

I do a fruit salad similar to that but I mix cool whip with a bit of raspberry yogurt... mmmmm.. that gives me an idea.. maybe I should do that salad for Thanksgiving...
