I was a vegetarian for many many years. I never EVER asked anyone else to alter their meals for me! In fact, I made non-veggie food for holidays and just made my own meal slightly different. That's crazy!

I'm hungry.

RANCH!!!!! :o Not for a vegan....

I like the way my in-laws do it. My MIL is veggie. She cooks all of the veggies while FIL cooks all of the meat. Works well.

vegetarians shouldn't even have a word in thxgivin, they should bring their little salad and tofu cheese, instead of messing a whole dinner for everybody else who can have some animal fat and meat.. i know its a pain, u can't even bake for them, because u might use lard or something that has animal products (not even jello)

:jest:

Totally true hermano. Maybe one plate is OK to make for them... but that's it!! They made a choice to be vegetarian... not Chef Sister!

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

grrr, just found out there will be a vegetarian at Thanksgiving this year. Now I have nothing against vegetarians, but they are seriously messing with my world famous sausage stuffing recipe.... And last year, when I did take a little departure from that, I used pancetta (Italian bacon)...yummy. ARRGH!

couldn't you do two different stuffings??

yeah, along with 65 other dishes I have to make. No, I'm not going to make a separate one just for one person. I'll have to change a few dishes because of one person.

I also make a sausage stuffing but my mom doesn't eat beef or pork, so I make one vat of stuffing, but add the sausage last so I can set aside a non-meat portion for my mom.

Plus, I will be making my stuffing this weekend and freeze it until Thanksgiving. I find it tastes better since the flavors have had more time to mingle. I just put it in a cassrole dish, add some chicken broth and bake it in the oven. Fantastic, if I say so myself!

I just like the sound of a VAT of stuffing... LOL

Nice way to make your guests smile - (see picture below).....

#1) Cut out aluminum foil in the shape of a swimsuit.....

#2) "Dress" the turkey and roast like you would a normal turkey.....

#3) Bake turkey as you would with your favorite recipe.

The aluminum swimsuit prevents tan lines.

My cousin does that and then she brings a cooler lunchbag type thing with her food in it

You can all come over for my sexy Thanksgiving feast. Fracas's veggie friend isn't allowed though :P
