I am really worried. We submitted our petition within the proper timeframe and they haven't even cashed our check yet. We haven't received anything at all from VSC and my hubby's greencard expires in just a few days. This is scary. Any suggestions for what we should do? Delivery Confirmation says we were delivered, but we haven't heard anything......

What's going to happen if his card does expire?

I-751 Submitted August 2008

RFE Nov. 5, 2008 for incorrect fee

Nov. 6, 2008 Package returned to VSC with correct fee

NO COMMUNICATION FROM USCIS WHATSOEVER!

August 29, 2009 Letter of Intent to start removal proceedings

August 31, 2009 Letter and Phone with Congressman's office

Sept. 3, 2009 Infopass

Sept. 4, 2009 New I-751 submitted with another fee

Sept. 25, 2009 I-797C NOA received with 1 year extention dated Sept. 14, 2009

Oct. 2, 2009 NOA2 Biometrics Letter Appointment received

Oct. 9, 2009 Biometrics

Oct. 12, 2009 Updated on USICS website

When did you file the I-751?? Time line lacks this :time:http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=19839

You have delivery confirmation. Your status does not change after CR-Green-Card expires, it changes if and when USCIS makes a negative decision on the I-751.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Thanks so much YuandDan. That clarifies a little. I will fill in our timeline later this evening. Our confirmation says they received it on Aug. 6th.

True, but for other purposes, such as traveling a stamp in the passport or an NOA is necessary. Also, if an alien is seeking new work, or being re-verified.

Same thing for us. I called the 800 number and they let us know they had received it and I did get my case number if we needed to make any changes, such as address changes or the like. That case number is the number from my check and they told me I would rceeive a biometrics appointment and that was the case number I would use to track it online.

I am going to make an appointment for next month though.
