I called uscis this morning & just got off the phone with my congresswoman-thay said I should have called a month ago(I could scream) anyway, they agreed that I have been waiting way too long at the vsc & they are looking into it as I type(well at least I hope so). They seemed great about it.

I hate to come off like I am moaning about 65 days when I know people have been waiting much longer, but for vermont-65 days IS a long time. And for me every day away from my man is one day too many.

thanks for the kind words & good vibes everyone

Hey Irish, I have been doing this process now for almost 14 months now and you didn't hear me say any negative comments. Why? Because no matter what stage you are at this process is heartwrenching! Don't let the negative comments get to you. You came here for some advice and thats all that should be said. Like I previously said, my I-129f was lost in la la land, and it took them 6 months to find it! If you are outside of the current process day by 30 days or more you need to call! Why wait? Do people honestly believe that the government won't lose the petition?

You did the right thing...don't worry if someone disagrees!

I agree with everyone else Irish. It's ridiculous. Of course I wish I was being processed in Vermont, but that's how the chips fall. If I were and they were overdue I'd be calling. I will be calling if my petition is 30 days overdue and I know there are people on here who have been waiting longer than me.

As many of you know I have been waiting for my noa2 from vsc. I have been told I can not do anything until they are processing cases rec'd 30 days after my receipt date. Well now they are so I will be calling first thing in the morning. I just want to know what they do at this point? Is there some kind of investigation? If this is going to hold me up even more-I am wondering if it is even woth it for me to call them.

I don't think I could handle any more unnecessary waiting

Any advice? Anyone go through a similar situation?

My situation is similar. I too had to wait until the date my peition was accepted at USCIS was more than 30-days beyond their published dates of the associated petition type. There was nothing that I or anyone else could do before that date.

When that date happened, I called the USCIS and got a live person online. I logged the date, time, and the speakers agent number. I requested an investigation into my case status as it had moved beyond normal processing time. The agent verified that my indeed had moved beyond normal processing time and took my information; my name, case number, beneficiarys b-day, etc.

About a week later I received a reply about my case status.

If you've not already done so, I recommend that you contact your State Senators office and speak with the person delegated to handle immigration iusses. They can be very helpful in un-jamming a log jam.

thanks for that info

I called & unfortunately my case in under some sort of "review". My congressman was great he called me back first thing this morning & told me the news. I hope I won't have to wait the few months he told me I would.

I am praying to hear something soon

Good luck for you Irish and hopefully you will get your NOA2 soon. I can understand that you are all screwed up because your case is under investigation but I bet that you might get your NOA2 earlier than someone who filed at CSC at the same time...

Just hang in there and hopefully your case will be approved soon.

Thanks guys ;)

It is so hard going through this process & unfortunately friends & family don't always understand. I am so grateful to all of you b/c you know what this process is all about. Whether it be an I-129 or I-130, whatever-we are all going through it together & it sure does help to have people to talk to.

Ignore the fool(s?) that give you ignorant comments. To be asking for advice/support is no crime....not in the real world. Yet on here, some 'people' are so rude, its untrue.

Saying that someone is impatient and ther negative bull ###### at them is like critisising someone who has their visa in hand for boasting!!

As the saying goes, 'if you've got nothing nice to say, dont say anything at all'.

UNBELIEVABLE!!!

I know you've gone thru the mill, and hope you have a speedy outcome. I hope that as you've got in touch with your congressperson, things may get into gear.

IrishGirl:

Get the ball rolling.

Don't wait anylonger. Do whatever you can to get this resolved until you are told there is nothing you can do.

Backtrack everything (make sure you have a papertrail in place.)

I suggest you continue to call and write a detailed but FOCUSED letter. I worked for the FEDS for 8 years and if you aren't focused, they won't even entertain you.

Good Luck.
