Waiting time for a CR-1 visa for my filipino husband

I am residing in the Philippines temporarily because i'm going to school here. my domicile is in the united states though. I filed the I-130 here at the US embassy manila for my filipino citizen husband 05/08/2008. We received our notice or approval for the I-130 on October 07, 2008. And then we received our visa packet on October 22, 2008. It included a DS-230 part 1 and a DS 2001 which si teh form indicating the applicant's readiness for interview. So we have to send these two forms back to the consular immigrant visa unit in manila ASAP.

My question is how long do we have to wait for an interview once we send these two forms in?? please help me with my question???? Thanks!!!!

it shouldn't take you that long to get a medical and interview slot. it all depends on whether there are a lot of cases to be processed. ours took approximately a month, give or take. since it is a dcf, it bypasses NVC. if you are in a rush, send it in ASAP and gather the required documents ASAP.
