I am getting ready to send my application at the end of November of this year. I am applying based on my marriage with a USC! I am wondering generally speaking which is possed the fastest, applying based on marriage with a USC (3 years) or applying based on 5 years with a green card?

Just wondering...

Here is my Citizenship Timeline:

November 24, 2008 > Application Filed at TSC via United States Postal Service (day 0)

November 26, 2008 > Application delivered to TSC. Confirm by Postal Service (day 2)

December 04, 2008 > Check Cashed (day 9)

December 08, 2008 > NOA 1 in Mail / Case tranferred to National Benefit Center (day 14)

December 15, 2008 > Biometric appointment letter in mail (day 21 )

January 6, 2009 > Biometric appointment (day 43)

February 5, 2009 > Interview appointment letter in the mail (day 74)

March 26, 2009 > Interview date (day 121)

April 6, 2009 > Oath letter in mail (day 132)

April 17, 2009 > Oath ceremony (day 143 )

April 17, 2009 > I am a US Citizen now!!!

Do you mean if a 3 year marriage applicant and a 5 year none-marriage applicant would apply precisely on the same day, which would receive their USC in the shortest period of time? No difference that I am aware of, but certainly a huge variation occurs depending on your field office and country of origin.

Obviously, a person meeting all of the marriage requirements would get a two year head start over that same person waiting an extra two years. And who knows what delays will exist in the future, going fairly quick for most now, but was not even one or two years ago. We were done in less than six months including all of that post oath stuff you have to do.

I am talking about both of them being eligible to apply for N-400 who would be granted USC faster!

I think there would be no difference .If you apply based on marriage they will just need more documents regarding ur marriage to check .That's all.
