So today we went to Wegmans and I found Aero bars, HP sauce, Tim Hortons coffee (I think I have told some of you this before) cadbury's hot chocolate and weetabix! I looove weetabix! I got a bit teary when I found the Aero bars.

I stood there in the aisle of the British foods section jumping up and down, I am sure people thought I was nuts.

Wegmans is great. :star:

So I got home and now I'm just sitting here eating a bowl of Weetabix with the biggest grin on my face. :D

Aero bars at Wegman's? I think we need to do a shopping trip. It's about a half-hour's drive from us, but clearly it's worth it :D

Yes go to the International foods area in the British aisle. :D

It's quite awesome, they also have other chocolate bars too, I forget what kinds though.

We have a Wagmans, never been, will have to check it out

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I got the most ginormous can of Tim Hortons coffee today because every two weeks I was going back for more. Its great, I love it. It has honestly helped me settle just a little bit more. <3

####### NY is hogging them all!

Probably because it's close to Ontario. Lots of New Yorkers take trips to Ontario (particularly Toronto) while many Canadians from that province visit New York. I'm sure their stock of British foods is based on the overall clientele. In fact, if you look at the numbers, Wegmans is mainly in the northeastern United States. That's pretty damn close to Canada. Where do more Canadians live than anywhere else in the country? Ontario, that's right. ;)

Off topic buuut:

You know if you go to other provinces there is some hate against Ontario, some people call us "Little America" and stuff.

It's quite funny. Some people would even go so far as to say that if you live in the golden horseshoe you aren't a true Canadian.

HA!

NY is hogging them all (especially in Buffalo) because that is where they were originally based  We used to go there all of the time when we would go camping at Darien Lake (before it became a Six Flags).

I was VERY surprised to find them in VA. There's one in Sterling, one in Fairfax, a new one in Gainesville and have no idea where the other one is...they are supposed to be building one in Leesburg soon. I HOPE they build one in Winchester.

I have never gone 'shopping' in a Wegmans down here...just to get lunch at their cafes and such. I will have to check it out on Monday after work!
