RFEs and bad attorneys

Thank God we finally got out of the NOA2 stage. Wasn't ever easy dealing with our atty. You know what our RFE was all about? A passport-type photo. That's it. And gee, you would think it'd be crazy for the atty to have missed that. On top of that, we did wonder about that at the very beginning and asked him (the atty) why petitioner's photo isn't in his list (of what we should submit). He told us it wasn't needed. He's so stupid! Gee, I feel we're the stupider ones for agreeing with him.

Yeah, file a complaint, GWN. Don't let your atty get away with his screw-up. As for me and Mike, we will fight back too as soon as the air clears up for good - when I finally get to the US!

The reason why we get attys is to FACILITATE matters. But now it is so clear that in the K1 world, attys are major obstacles.

Man my heart goes out to your guys. I got an attorney who at least sent everything to the right place but he sat on our application for 4 weeks before finally letting me know he needed an original from Shirryl rather than a scanned copy. So we wasted 3 more weeks getting it from the Philippines and then a few more days to send it to him.

Total loss was almost 2 months of time.

At this point I can't get a response from him via email and so far I have not actually called him. I guess we wait a few more weeks to see if I get a RFE or not...

If he screws this again like that I will file a complaint with the New York Bar and see if that wakes him up...
