Has anyone from UK ever been put on AP?

Hi guys,

Has anyone been or seen anyone being put on AP from UK?

What are the criteria for being put on AP? And how long does it take to get out of AP?

So far the only one I know of is sadeyes. She's been in AP since Feb, as far as I know it's due to a name check.

jason and sarah reported that they were told by nvc they were in ap, hense why it took a couple of weeks or three to get sent to the embassy.

I only have come across one where the issue was not a non British background.

BadDogi (or something like that) had to call off a big wedding in July because of 8 wks AP after the interview in London. Name checks because she had a middle eastern surname.

Stevi's fiance just interviewed and was sent away. London wants a brand new police certificate and birth certificate from Nigeria even though the copies he presented were only 6 weeks old. Her fiance has lived in England many years.

And somebody else, but I can't remember the name.

We received the blue slip, but ours is considered to be in "Suspense" (or suspended) and not AP.

There are 3 sections at the top of the form. 1. Suspense (pending whatever they have checked on the back of the sheet, ours is police certificates) 2. AP and 3. Denial

I was for all of 1 day at NVC stage. They lost my passport info then found it. It was only 1 day but 1 very long day of crying and asking why.

Since you are CR1 visa, you might want to look at the stats pages for that visa. You will find London in the list. You can click near the top of the page and see states for all time, 1 year, 6 months, etc.

Guiness is in AP also - but that one is sorta in the air as the results from medical had to go to CDC - its highly unusual but happens -

Good news, they are out of AP now, there was an update in one of their threads.
