Great, so I went thru all this trouble to get all the paperwork ready in time so my sister could get our marriage cert and mail out our paperwork for us when we went away.

Mary and I have a joint checking account but until she gets her name changed on her license, etc we didnt have any checks printed. So to make things simple I sent in a cashiers check for $1010 (fee + fingerprinting fee).

They rejected it based on the assumption that I sent in the wrong fee?

Well that sets me back another week and a half. I guess I'll refile and put 2 checks in?

The rejection notice says "please resubmit the application with the appropriate fees"

But I will try to call.

Hello, pls read this..may be this would be a reason for rejection. If a payment is submitted, attach it to the first primary application or petition by paper clip or staple, and make sure the name of the applicant is indicated on the payment document (i.e., in the memo field). IMPORTANT: If more than one application is filed using a single check, and any of the forms are found to be improperly filed, ALL forms will be rejected..

This will be helpful in your case...

"Have faith in God, Jesus answered. I'll tell you the truth. if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself to the sea, and that does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen. it will be done for him. Therefore I'll tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (MARK 11:22-24)

My name was acctually on it -but Mary's A # was on it as well. I plan on having her name on the checks and everything be crystal clear for them.

Thanks :)

I recommend that you try to find out the root cause of what happened. My wife's was rejected the first time as a result of the "wrong fee". It was a joke, since the wrong fee was because we mistakingly used 2008 as her date of birth, which would mean that there would be no biometrics fee. Below was my post when all this happened:
