I am not an 'Obamacan' whatever that is. I would probably vote for him, if I could, but I don't agree with everything that he says, nor do I believe he has all the answers not even most of them actually.

Quite honestly, this isn't a huge issue, it's just indicative of the deception that is being practiced on some GOP supporters - that McCain and Palin 'get them'. Clearly, with a clothes budget like that, Palin doesn't 'get' the vast majority of working women.

Liberals expect and seek out victimization and deprivation. Conservatives expect and seek out prosperity and gain. You won't get that, but it is the reason why you don't get it.

No one running for the presidency or vice-presidency nor their families are like spending on anything like regular working folks. Image is a big part of that, and that is why this is no big deal. The men are wearing $3,000 suits and the women are shopping at high end stores, dressed, coiffed and tutored by professionals. Obama and Biden say they know your pain, but they have assets, educations, perks, and connections you can only dream of. They all claim to be like you and know your life, but that's just politics. Do you really believe they are like you? Are you truly that naive?

The bolded makes no sense at all - I expect you believe it, but that doesn't make it true, or even generally accepted as a point of view.

As for the idea that I believe Obama and Biden to be anything like me - please explain how you came up with that little gem. I don't 'believe in' either of them. I simply think they have better policies than McCain/Palin. McCain's policies are muddled and would certainly do nothing for the middle classes except make them worse off and Palin has no policies, period.

Bush's economic plan was destructive. McSame want's to double down on that same plan. Continue what everyone sees and knows isn't working. He wants to to do the same and expects a different result. You know what that is: Insanity. Now that's where your sure destruction would be. Fortunately, that isn't going to happen. Rather than buying all that wardrobe and make-up for Alaska Barbie, they should have invested in a brain for her. Maybe that would have saved McSame's sinking ship.

I heard they went shopping for a brain for Alaska Barbie...found several in great condition, with lots of intelligence, and within their price range.

But all of those brains were Democrat brains...so they couldn't go that route.

They looked at several Republican brains...but they were many times the price of the Democrat brains.

When they asked why the Republican brains were so much more expensive the response was,

"These brains have never been used".

So they decided to blow the money on some nice outfits for Barbie.

I'm well aware of the countries debt, as well as the administration who put us here.

When Bush took office in 2000, the US dollar was worth more than the Euro. Today it's worth about half.

In my own words I can say that putting in a McSame administration will have the same effect as adding water to a sinking ship.

Tell us how McSame will do that? His proposals will incur a net cost which is twice that of Obama's plans. Surely, your opposition to Obama and your support of McSame isn't build on the fiscal impact of their platforms. Let us also not forget that it was a Republican that all but doubled our national debt - borrowing as much in just two terms as 42 other administrations did combined over more than two centuries. And let us also not forget that the last administration that actually balanced budgets and started to pay down some of that debt was that of a Democrat.

The Republicans have no credibility whatsoever in terms of fiscal responsibility. None.

Working your way up is part of the American dream. Government handouts are not. Funny how two people with 6 figure incomes who worked their way up against odds are so committed to giving away other people's money instead of expecting the same of others that they did of themselves.

Inheriting money is also part of the American dream. Why not "spread the wealth" with your progeny?

Obama can afford his suits, too. His household income last year was 4.7 million, more than the McCain's. Not a bad year for a guy clearly oppressed by the Bush administration.
