Need help in understanding K3 process times

I started the K3 process in September 08, I was told by USCIS that I have 6 months before they will even touch either I-130 or I-129F 6 month plus 5 month processing, this would put me into late summer 09???. I have received both 1st NOA's, but when I search similar visa timelines on VJ most on average are half this time? Some touches in 2 months. So who's right? USCIS or VJ timelines

I'm just confused about the whole process, does this mean 11 months before K3 will arrive at NVC?

I really hope what I see on VJ timelines are correct.

The possible adjudication date(s) in your timeline are pretty reasonably correct (they do tend to fluctuate as people add/update their timelines).

Five months would be a bit fast. I'm sure it's it been done. In Thailand most interviews are held about 2 1/2 months after they receive the paperwork from the NVC. For my kids it was 8 1/2 months total from the time they originally sent the I 130 until her visa was in hand. I truly hope your journey is faster.

Update,

I called and talked with USCIS regarding process times for CSC, and currently they are at a 6 month process time. This is a good sign I think, better then Feb 01. I mailed my wifes Visa in Sept 08, so Feb I hope its at Bangkok

when they say 6 months, do they mean it will take 6 months to process if u put in now, or do they mean they are processing applications from 6 months ago, so late april apps?? im confused

i put in application i-130 in late aug and i129f in early sept.

wonder when mine will start being looked at........

I called to verify the information for CSC process times, Yes they are saying that total process times are 6months from receipt, and both K1 & K3 are processing in 6 months pending no problems.

So I sent in K3 in Sept 08, and should hear something by Feb 09 (hoping for approval ). Then the journey at NVC starts. But VJ timelines are showing short waits, 1 month to 2 month before arriving in (Beneficiary) country. Then time to wait again LOL.

So I will plan trip to thailand in Jan or Feb, too long to wait to see my wife.
