All - I looked at Igor's stats page. Gives us some clue. I was looking specifically for CSC....On an average in the months where there have been good progress, there have been 100 + cases that have been processed. At the very least over the last year, they have processed 65+ cases....

It appears that October 2008 is unusually slow compared to Oct 2007, where the pace actually picked up. I was looking for some trends as well in the stats snap shot that has been presented in Igor's page.

One - they slow down during holidays. I am not sure if they need to meet a certain # of applications in a month. Granted that the VJ forums dont represent all the applications, it would be interesting to see if more applications are processed in the last week of Oct - to get to the minimum level 65 - 70..

Two - even the holiday slow down did not affect the # of vj cases that were processed. They hit 100+ even in those months.

I think we will need to just watch for some trends over the next few weeks to feel optimistic once again. April 2008 was the last time the pace slowed in CSC and that would have pushed the folks who had applied in Dec/Jan 2008.

Let me know your thoughts....
